On North Carrollton there was a grocery story
called Union Supermarket. At Union Supermarket you can get fresh Cuban
sandwiches, medianoches, and all manners of Cuban pastries like pastelitos de
guayaba (and they are good!). They get my vote for best Cuban sandwich in
Louisiana. I understand that they've moved to Veterans at Williams near
the mall post-Katrina.
