Gifts and
Christmas Presents for Cubans
This website has the largest collection of Cuban recipes
online since 2001, so it's no surprise that I'm often asked
what type of gifts are best for Cubans. There are two
excellent websites that I recommend:
|
 |
MyCubanStore has a
variety of Cuban clothing that you can buy for men or
women, although they have a great selection of shirts
for men. Guayabera shirts come in a wide variety
of styles and colors, and they're perfect for casual
or dress wear.
One of my personal
favorite brands is Cubavera, which has guayabera
shirts that are a bit more detailed than normal Cuban
shirts. Best of all, they're available in large
sizes. Guys like myself who wear big and tall
clothing usually have a hard time finding guayabera
shirts that fit, so Cubavera makes a perfect choice.
The site also has
pants, printed t-shirts, cool hats, and gift baskets.
For Cuban women, they offer jewelry, beach dresses,
sandals, and even lady's cut guayaberas. Again,
that website is:

Another great gift from
that site is a mojito glass gift set, for making the famous
Cuban cocktail. Cocktail glasses,
mint mix pitchers kit and barware make a great holiday
present.
Don't forget that
while you're here, you can learn how to
make
a mojito using our traditional recipe.
Aside from that,
there are some other great gifts on the Cuban Food
Market website that I linked above, especially cooking
stuff. |

Their website has just
about everything that you can imagine. Cuban coffee,
gift baskets, books, music, fresh-baked pastries, pig roasting
boxes, crackers, sandwich presses, you name it.
From that site in
particular, I've purchased a great deal of things for myself
including domino sets with the Cuban flag, Cuban sandwich
makers, tostoneras (tostones press), and fresh Cuban bread
that they ship in from a Miami bakery. Visit the
contact page if you have more
questions about gifts for Cuban-Americans that you'd like help
with.
