Diet Cuban Coffee Chocolate Milkshake recipe

No, its not something enjoyed in Cuba, and I seriously doubt that anyone in Miami is enjoying one of these right now. This is a little recipe I came up with as a healthy and tasty treat to enjoy after a workout, I submitted it to the Slim Fast people just because I know that they didn't have one exactly like it yet.

1 cup fat-free skim milk
1-2 scoops of Ultra Slim Fast, Chocolate flavor
2-3 shots of Cuban Coffee (about 2-3 demitasse cups worth)
1 packet of Sweet N Low (or any sweetener)
entire tray of ice cubes, minus 2-3 cubes

Pour fat free milk into blender (you can use regular milk, but this is the healthy version), add Cuban coffee and sweetener and blend for 15 seconds. Add Ultra Slim-Fast powder (or any other protein powder) and blend for 30 seconds. The mixture will start to thicken immediately, especially if you use 2 scoops of Slim Fast.

Add the ice cubes all at one time, and run your blender at the grate section (typically the highest speed). You may need to run it on high for 30 seconds, stop it, blend for ten seconds to get the ice moving again and go back to the highest speed. You must run it until it you cannot hear the blades chopping ice and the mixture appears somewhat smooth.

Pour into two 16 oz. cups, add a straw and enjoy! Many people may only want one 16 oz. cup's worth, so you can always cut the recipe in half. For those like myself, simply pour your first shake and place the other mixture in the freezer until after the first one is finished. After a hard workout it really hits the spot!
